The 1% Isn't About Excellence. It's About Showing Up.

The 1% Isn't About Excellence. It's About Showing Up.

No one wants to hear this but if you want to be in the top 1% of humans, you have to do what 99% of people are not willing to do.

Over the past year, I worked on my wedding day. I only took a few full days off for maternity leave. And I had my biggest career accomplishments while pregnant.

And every time I post about this, I piss off a LOT of women.

"These are unrealistic expectations." "Stop promoting toxic hustle culture." "You should be encouraging new moms to rest."

Blah blah blah.

I'm just being really, really real: If you want extraordinary results you got to put in extraordinary effort.

It's Okay

Most people don't want extraordinary results and that's okay.

  • If you don't want to be a top 1% entrepreneur, you don't need to hustle like one
  • If you don't want to be a professional athlete, you don't need to work out like one
  • If you don't want to be a top 1% content creator, you don't need to post like one

But me? I want to be extraordinary.

The Secret

But here's the dirty little secret:

  • Extraordinary does NOT mean working 12 hours a day
  • Extraordinary does NOT mean burning yourself out
  • Extraordinary does NOT mean being perfect

To be extraordinary you just have to show up consistently and imperfectly.

I assure you:

  • I'm not showing up at 100%
  • I'm not showing up perfectly
  • And I'm not always showing up in excellence

Sometimes I show up after ghosting my goals for a week. Sometimes I show up for just an hour. Sometimes I show up from bed. Sometimes I show up crying.

Consistency Wins

What I'm NOT doing is hustling. What I AM doing is I'm showing up, consistently, in some small way, no matter what. Always getting back on the horse.

What separates the 1% from the 99% is not excellence. It's showing up.

99% of people wait for perfect conditions before they put in the effort. They wait for calm weeks, zero stress, and full energy. Those conditions do not exist.

Life keeps moving while you build your goals. I just keep choosing to show up anyway. NO MATTER WHAT.

Final Thoughts

The difference between the 1% and the 99% isn't talent. It's not working 12-hour days. It's not perfection. It's choosing to show up, even imperfectly, even from bed, even crying. That's what small habits that create big changes actually look like.

Perfect conditions don't exist. Calm weeks don't exist. The people who make it are the ones who stop waiting and start moving anyway.

So get back on the horse. Keep showing up.
